Georganne Kincer, PhD, RN
TASK III Nurse
Georganne received her Associate Degree in Nursing and Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Miami University’s School of Nursing. She received her Master’s of Nursing in Occupational Health and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Nursing. Georganne was a student primary investigator for and participated in the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health’s University of Cincinnati’s Education and Research Center’s Targeted Research Training study related to firefighter heat stress during live-burn trainings since 2011 through 2022. With more than 20 years of experience as a nurse in long-term care, intensive care, and occupational health care nursing, her dissertation focused on addressing firefighter deaths related to cardiovascular incidents. As an occupational health nurse her focus is on providing safe and healthy work environments for all employees and employers. In relationship to the TASK III she perceives family caregivers as employees in their home environments providing care and support for family members in need.
